A packed race season continued for 3V the last two weeks; even as tri season winds down, our athletes expand into other races. we had athletes compete at IM Maine 70.3, the 50k Tantalus Triple Trek running race, and the Eagle in the Sun Sprint Triathlon.

On August 27th, Jennifer Dearman took on IM Maine 70.3. She completed the course in 7:17:33 to finish 49th in her age group.

On the same day, Justin Kline decided that he would try to qualify for the 55 mile Peacock Flats Ultra in October by running the Tantalus Triple Trek 50k in Hawaii the very next weekend. On September 2, climbing over 6000 feet on the 3 loop course, he finished in 5:45:05 And succeeded in his qualification goal!

The next day in El Paso, Amanda Allen took on the Eagle in the Sun Sprint Triathlon. Her 1:21:01 over the 400y swim, 13 mile bike, and 5k run earned her 20th overall in the ladies category and 3rd in her age group! Way to go Doc!

We're not done by a long shot. There's a lot of racing left to go. Next weekend, Dave Mudek will take on the IM 70.3 Worlds course in Chattanooga, ready for whatever special surprise they have in
store for the best in the world!
