Triple Victor set courses on fire across the country last weekend. On Saturday, Brandon Goodermont and Darin Miller took on the Green Valley Lake Aquathon in California. They almost needed to be on oxygen at 7000 feet, but both powered through a 600yd swim and 5k run. Brandon finished 4th overall and won his age group with Darin right behind him in 5th overall and 2nd in AG.

Also in California, a bit further south on the left coast, Jeff Krebs took on the international distance event of the Chula Vista Challenge as part of a relay team. He finished the 10k run in 40:38, anchoring the team to a relay win and preparing for IM Mont-Tremblant this coming weekend.

Moving to the middle of the country, Dave Mudek and Brendon Terry took on the

Olympic and Sprint distance USAT Age Group National Championship courses, with both racing on back to back days. On the Olympic distance, Dave cranked out a 2:25:13 to finish 55th in the M30-
34AG. Brendon led out the day in the first wave, setting an olympic distance PR of 2:18:04 and finishing 26 of 133 in the M35-39 AG.
The next day for the sprint distance, the race was on within the team as both Brendon and Dave started in the same wave. Brendon finished the swim in 14:40 to head into transition with a 70 second lead for Dave to try to overcome.

Dave chipped away 32 seconds on the bike and 12 seconds on T1 and T2, but Brendon still entered the run with a 24 second lead and the footrace was on! Brendon ran a 19:08 5k that Dave couldn't quite overcome.

Brendon finished 14th in M35-39 at 1:09:25, while Dave finished in 1:09:42 and 11th in the M30-34 AG. Both are waiting on potential roll down slots to the 2018 World Championship in Gold Coast, Australia at the sprint distance!

Next weekend, Jeff Krebs and Noah Sandler will take on IM Mont-Tremblant in Canada while Doc Amanda takes on the Eagle in the Sun sprint in El Paso on September 3rd.. This season is far from over!
