The last 10 days have been full of racing across the globe for the 3V Crew spanning two workd championship events, an Ironman, and a local sprint triathlon.

Head coach Dave Mudek represented the team at both the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Chattanooga, TN and then immediatley traveled to Rotterdam, The Netherlands to be a member of Team USA at the Sprint Distance Age Group Worlds! On an Chatt course with an extra helping of special sauce (upriver swim and a monster climb up Lookout Mountain, no shit, you can see 7 states from there). Dave threw down a 4:58:12 on that brutal course to finish 196 of 318 in the M30-34 AG.

One week later on a different continent in a draft legal sprint race, Dave laid the hammer down againwhile wearing the stars and stripes. He was the 4th of 12 Americans to finish and 48th overall in the M30-34 competition, racing against the best in the world on a technical bike course with ramps up stairs and numerous sharp turns. He posted a 1:14:21 on the course that included over a half mile run as part of T1!
On the same day as 70.3 Worlds, Noah Sandler and Gee Garner took on Ironman Wisconsin in Madison. The last time these two raced, only minutes separated them with Noah edging out Gee at IMSR. At IMMOO, Gee had a 12:25:27 to finish 38th in AG and Noah finished 44th with a 12:32:12.

Team Doc Amanda Allen finished 3rd overall in the female first responder category at the Lifetieme Fitness Olympic Distance in Tempe, AZ on 17 September. This finish qualified her for the Lifetime Fitness Championship in July '18.
Next up on the race circuit, Jeff Welling will take on the Lake Lanier Islands Triathlon near Gainesville, GA on September 24th. He then has MTB races on the 30th, 14th, and 28th. Justin Kline will test his intestinal fortitude, literally, as he takes on a 5k race with mandatory consumption of brats and beer on the course on September 30th in Hawaii. Next month, Jeff Krebs will start us out with the San Diego Mission Bay Sprint Triathlon on October 1st. On October 8th, Jeff will then take on the Chicago Marathon while Brendon Terry will represent as part of the Ft. Leavenworth Team at the Army 10 Miler in Washington, D.C. Coach Dave will be back at it in Nawlins on 22 October at NOLA 70.3 to earn a trip to the 2018 IM 70.3 Worlds in Mandela Bay, South Africa. Also on the 22nd, Doc Amanda and Jennifer Dearman will tackle IMAZ 70.3, and Jessica Pekari will take on IM 70.3 Austin on the 29th. 3V will keep things racing hot in the fall, even as temperatres cool.
